Eamonn O’Shea had a winning start to his term as Tipperary senior hurling manager with victory over UCC at Emly on Sunday.

The game was a fundraiser for the local national school and was a great success.

The students provided a stern test to Tipp - something O’Shea will have been pleased to see - but Tipp won in the end 3-23 to 2-15 in a high scoring game.

Tipperary’s next outing is on January 27 in the Waterford Crystal Trophy.
