Cashel Community School’s senior camogie team travelled to Doon to face the home side in the Munster semi-final.

On a very cold afternoon, Cashel got off to a good start with two early points from Orla O’Dwyer. This was to be their last score for a long period as Doon started to apply serious pressure on the CCS backs, yield 1 – 3 without reply. Kate Murphy got a point late in the half to make it Doon 1 – 3, Cashel 0 – 3 at half-time.

The Limerick school secured a goal very early in the second half. Kelly Edinborough notched a good point for the Cashel girls but Doon moved on to score their third goal after Keely Halpin made a good save in the Cashel goal only to see the ball bundled over the line by the onrushing Doon forwards.
