Sr. Patricia, who is 75 years old, will take to the sky in mid May to do a charity skydive from 10,000 feet in aid of Aware, the depression awareness charity and local projects in the Slieveardagh area encompassing the Tipperary-Kilkenny border.

Based in Ballingarry in South Tipperary, Sr. Patricia is looking for as much support as possible for these worthy causes.

Donations can be made at www.mycharity.ie/events/theflyingnun. She also has a Twitter account, @theflyingnun2013, and Facebook, theflyingnun2013. Please see Twitter, Facebook and the local papers in the coming weeks for further details on fundraising for the Flying Nun.

One of the upcoming events is The Flying Nun Charity Ball which will take place in the Anner Hotel Thurles on Saturday April 13. We wish Sr. Patricia and her supporters every success with their fund raising and on her behalf thank the two team managers for their support on Sunday last.
