Rosegreen best in West Tipp junior football

Rosegreen proved too strong for Solohead in the West Tipperary junior football championship A at Sean Treacy Park, Tipperary on Saturday evening, fully deserving their 2-16 to 1-6 victory.

Rosegreen were on top from the word go but the Solohead challenge was boosted by a goal early on when the Rosegreen goalkeeper mis-hit a kickout and it came to a Solohead’s Eoin Riordan, who duly scored a goal

In spite of this setback Rosegreen led by 1-9 to 1-4 at the interval

The second half was mainly one-way traffic as Rosegreen piled on the pressure and Solohead never looked likely to catch up. The final score was 2-16 to 1-6 in favour of Rosegreen.
