Under 21 Football:
The U21 ‘A’ footballers begin their South Championship campaign with a game against Anner Gaels in Ned Hall Park, Clonmel at 12.30 pm on Sunday next, 10th February.
At Thurles on Sunday last in the first game of the National Football League our club had three players involved. Philip Quirke started at midfield with Peter Acheson at full-forward. In the second half Alan Campbell was introduced as a substitute. Unfortunately the home side went under to Carlow by the narrowest of margins in the end.
Don’t forget the Moyle Rovers Club Social which will take place on Saturday, 23rd February in Monroe. Dinner will be followed by music from ‘The Legends.’ Tickets at 25 Euro each are available from any committee member.
On the night medals will be presented to the Intermediate football side who won the South Championship and also the minor footballers for their success in the County Minor League.
Get well wishes:
The club send best wishes to Cha Boland who was hospitalised over the weekend. Also get well wishes to young Claire Moore who too was in hospital last weekend.
Wishing both a very speedy recovery.
The club extends sincere sympathy to the family of Maureen Hallinan, Laganore, who died recently. Maureen is grandmother of Gary Hallinan. May she rest in peace.
Sympathy also to Michael Keating, chairman of Newcastle GAA Club, on the recent death of his sister, Mary Dunne. R.I.P.
While it is still a long way off, we have decided on our juvenile club Cul Camp dates for 2013. This year’s event will commence on Monday, 12th August. Take a note of it for your diary.
