Clonmel Og had a second lotto jackpot winner in three weeks on Monday 17th June.
Well done to Patrick Egan who scooped a very tasty €1400 for his trouble, and to seller Glen O’Meara. The numbers drawn were 03, 12, 21, & 23
Mixed results all round
An up and down week for our U12 girls. On Monday 17th we had a great victory away to Arravale Rovers in the County Quarter Final. However, in the semi-final on Saturday we suffered a one point defeat at home to Boherlahan/Dualla after extra-time. Our girls gave their all but the rub of the green eluded them. Hard luck and a big thank you to all the parents and club members who provided vocal and enthusiastic support on both nights
Our U16 footballers were also beaten in the South Final on Saturday by a very good Ballyporeen team. We didn’t start the game well and were eight points adrift at half time. However, inspired by a powerhouse display from Philly Lambe, the comeback was on, and we reduced the deficit to five points and were pressing hard with six minutes remaining. Concession of another soft goal put paid to our chances. It’s a pity we didn’t play for the full 60 minutes but credit to our boys who never gave up.
Best on the night were Philly Lambe, Dean Slattery, Damon Gregory and Paul Fitzgerald.
We have no upcoming senior football or junior hurling championship fixtures to report. However the seniors played a useful challenge away to Rathgormack on Friday night. Big thanks to all who made the effort.
Well done to our U14 hurlers who travelled to Limerick to play a fancied Na Piarsiagh side in a challenge on Saturday afternoon and recorded a comfortable win.
