In the Clean Ireland Recycling County Intermediate Hurling Championship the four group winners from the league stages, Ballina, Newport, Lattin Cullen Gaels and Sean Treacys, have qualified for the quarter finals.

The four group runners up, Ballinahinch, Shannon Rovers, Moyne Templetuohy and Thurles Sarsfields, have qualified for the preliminary quarter finals where they will be drawn against the divisional winners, or the divisional runner up or the team that the winners defeated in the divisional semi-final or the team the divisional runners up defeated in the semi-final or failing all that there will be a bye. The latter is the case from the North Division as the 4 teams in the North championship all qualified through the county stages for either the quarter finals or preliminary quarter finals.

The teams from the Divisional championships to qualify for the preliminary quarter finals are Arravale Rovers and Clonakenny and they will be joined by the winners of the South championship. This means there will be one bye in the preliminary quarter finals.
