UNDER 21 HURLERS BOW OUT

Our 21 hurlers took on Kilsheelan in the final round of the hurling on Sunday afternoon last.

Despite getting off to a flying start scoring 1-1, once Kilsheelan got to grips with the game they began to dominate. Our boys, to their credit, battled until the final whistle, but it just wasn’t going to be our day. Our wide count was too high over the hour and two great goal chances in the final minutes went abegging.

Kilsheelan were well deserving of the win and we wish them the best of luck in the semifinal. T

hank you to team management Joe Mulcahy, Michael Mulcahy and Sean Keating for all the work they put in and commiserations to the panel of players.

JUVENILES

U13 South Tipperary, 9-a-Side Football Blitz.

On 2nd November last, Moyle Rovers hosted the annual U13 South Tipperary 9 a side Football blitz.

Teams involved were Fethard, Clonmel Og, Cahir and Moyle Rovers. Clonmel Og and Moyle Rovers both had two teams representing their clubs.

The day was very blustery but despite the challenging conditions, all teams displayed excellent football skills and were a credit to their coaches and clubs.

The final was contested between Moyle Rovers (1) and Cahir with Moyle Rovers (1) winning by 2-4 to 2-0.

Ben Owens was captain for the day and collected the trophy.

Sean Cotter, Conor McGrath, Diarmuid Mulcahy and Michael Cleary excelled for Moyle Rovers.

Kieran Quirke was injured on the day and we wish him a speedy recovery.

The plate final was contested between Moyle Rovers (2) and Clonmel Og.

Clonmel Og came out on top in this one. Moyle Rovers (2) battled hard and were unlucky when they hit the crossbar on a couple of occasions but alas the victory went to the town team.

Great performances on the day from Cian Maher, Liam Ryan, Harry Phelan, Rian Kiely, Aidan Lonergan and Brian O’Dea.
