Tipperary u-21 team to take on Kerry named

Loughmore-Castleiney’s Liam McGrath who captained Tippearay to the All Ireland minor football title last year will start at right full forward for the county u-21s when they take on Kerry in the first round of the championship at Semple Stadium on Wednesday.

Joining him in the full forward line will be another of the minor heroes, Michael Quinlivan (Clonmel Commercials).

Other Commercials players in the starting fifteen are goalkeeper Evan Comerford and midfielder Aldo Matassa.

It’s a tough opener for Tipperary against the might of the Kingdom but home advantage could be significant.
