Drom-Inch and Burgess meet in Tipperary camogie final

County Champions and All Ireland finalists 2011 Drom and Inch meet Burgess Duharra in the county senior camogie final on Saturday in the Camogie Grounds at The Ragg.

Drom defeated Moneygall to reach the decider while Burgess Duharra ousted Toomevara in the second semi final.

The sides met in the earlier rounds of the championship, when a below par Drom side lost out by three points.

However the champions are expected to raise their performance level for the final. They have superb players in goalkeeper Rosie Kennelly, Michelle Shortt, Geraldine Kinane, Patricia Grath and former Tipperary All Star and Tipperary All Ireland winning captain, Joanne Ryan.

Burgess Duharra, winners of the senior League 2012, have been strengthened this year by the return of Aine Mulcahy, Sheena Howard and Emer Dwan. All Stars Eimear McDonnell and Trish O’Halloran, Nessa O’Driscoll, Deirdre McDonnell, Ruth Barry and Caoimhe Maher have shown fine form during the season. This promises to be a keenly contested game. The champions will not relinquish their crown easily but Burgess Duharra will put up stiff opposition
