Appeal for more support to help with underage teams

The Ladies Football club held their Annual convention on Wednesday, December 12. Chairman Pat Fahey welcomed those attending and thanked everyone who helped make the year a very successful one for the club. He also appealed for help and support from parents especially for the younger age groups where numbers attending training are increasing all the time.

Anne Breen presented the Secretary’s report for the year. In booklet form this was a comprehensive report and detailed the club activities for the year. It was a great record by both word and photograph of the club’s activities during 2012.

The Treasurer presented a detailed report of income and expenditure for the year.

Officers elected to serve the club for 2013: President, Marion Power; Chairman, Pat Fahey; Secretary, Anne Breen; Assistant Secretary, Chrissie Moylan; Treasurers, Paddy McMeel and Kay Lyons; PRO, Paudie Everard; Registrar, Marion Power; Children’s Officers, Marion Power and Sharon O’Connor; Injury Fund co-ordinator, Frances Ryan; County Board Representatives, Paddy McMeel, Claire Lonergan ,Sean O’Donovan.

County Board chairman Tommy Campbell addressed the meeting and wished the club well for 2013. A special word of thanks to Eamonn Quirke for the fabulous photgraphs taken at various matches during the year. In conjunction with the Camogie club we congratulate Joan Lonergan (O’Donnell) on her wedding last week and wish them both all the best from both clubs.

We take the opportunity to wish all associated with Moyle Rovers Ladies Football and Camogie clubs a very Happy Christmas and best wishes for the new year.
