Focus on fun for young GAA players

Cahir GAA’s second Joker draw was very well attended in Morrissey’s on Sunday last.

The Jackpot was not won but the following won prizes. Rebecca and Mark Cagney were the first names drawn out on the launch night.

The other winners were Benny Hickey, Paddy Hickey Marlinstown stud, Sara Lonergan c/o Supervalu, Tom O’Gorman and John O’Callaghan from Ballyporeen. This week’s draw will take place in the Shamrock lounge at 10pm on Sunday. Tickets are available from all committee members for €2 each or three for €5. Draw takes place every Sunday Night.

Best of luck to our senior footballers who are due to play Galtee Rovers on this Saturday night in Cashel at 6pm.

GAA Fun Week

Cahir GAA are holding a sports and fun week from July 15 to 19, in Duneske Leisure Centre. 10am to 1pm each day. €35 for one child, €65 for two children and €85 for three or more children. A great week of fun and games is promised. Registration forms can be collected from any of the coaches or you can just turn up on the Monday morning.

Jersey Presentations
Cahir Credit Union has presented a set of jersies to Cahir Ladies Gaelic Football Chairman Liam Shinnick for the U8 and U10 girls. Thanks to the Credit Union for this sponsorship, the girls are delighted with their new jersies. We would like to thank and congratulate Brenda Burke, Joanne Noonan and Liam Halpin for all the work and dedication with this group of girls. Thanks to the girls and their parents who attended the presentation.
Thanks to Cahir Community Bingo for their help funding tops for the U12 and U14 Cahir Ladies Gaelic Football Teams. Their manager John O’Donoghue said “on behalf of the girls and the ladies football club, we wish Cahir Bingo every success in the future to this hard working bunch of people, whose help to the community at large is fantastic.”
