Thousands of supporters attended a special training session by the Tipperary senior hurling team in Clonmel on Thursday evening.

The All Ireland champions usually train in Semple Stadium in Thurles but came to Clonmel to support the ‘Place 4 U’ programme, a local initiative to provide a safe social environment for teenagers.

Four of the team are patrons of the programme - captain Eoin Kelly, Paul Curran, Lar Corbett and Brendan Cummins,

Following the training watched by a crowd of thousands, the players signed autographs for excited young fans
