Tipperary have been drawn to play Galway in the All Ireland senior football championship round 1 qualifiers.

The game will take place in Pearse Stadium, Salthill on Saturday June 29 at 7pm.

Extra time will be played in the event of a draw.

Tipperary and Galway have met twice previously in the All Ireland Senior Football championship with Tipperary winning on both occasions. The 1900 home final, played in 1902, saw Tipp win by 2-17 to 0-1 and the 1902 semi-final, played in 1904, resulted in a Tipp win by 2-4 to 0-4.

So a 109 year gap will be bridged when the teams meet later this month in Salthill.
