This magnificent victory was an historic first for Clonmel High School. The School has been performing very well of late in various ‘A’ competitions in hurling, at U-14 and U-15 levels. This latest success is yet another major boost to hurling in the school. The victory was well deserved. All fifteen players contributed to the success by working extremely hard for the hour and showing lots of skill in the process.

Last February, Clonmel High School narrowly lost out to Dungarvan CBS by one point in the Munster U18½ semi-final. Thirteen of this team were senior panellists on that day, and nine of them played on the day. No doubt, that memory drove on the Clonmel lads and this victory compensates in some way for that devasting defeat
