Deserved civic honour for Brendan Cummins

South Tipperary Co Council held a Civic Reception last Friday night in the County Hall to honour the career of Tipp’s All Star goalkeeper, Brendan Cummins who recently announced his retirement from inter-county hurling. Chairman Jimmy O’Brien hosted the event and glowing tributes were paid by representatives of all the political parties, as well as Archbishop Dermot Clifford, Co Chairman, Sean Nugent and South Chairman, Joe Brennan. Present with Brendan were members of his family and neighbours and friends from his native Ardfinnan and Ballybacon-Grange clubs.
