The Tipperary SEAN GAEL AWARDS will reach a significant milestone on Sunday week, November 18 when the 10th Annual Presentation Ceremony will be held in The Dome in Semple Stadium at 4-15 p.m. The Awards will be presented by Jimmy O’Gorman, current Trustee of the Gaelic Athletic Association and former Munster Council Chairman.
The man behind the setting up of the organisation in the Premier County was top referee the late John Moloney who invited six prominent members of the Association to join him. John became the first Chairman of the body and following his untimely death was succeeded by John Costigan. The other members are Noel Morris, Seamus J. King, Seamus McCarthy, Pat Moroney and Micheal O’Meara, Runai.
To date Tipperary Sean Ghael has honoured 331 persons ranging through every facet of G.A.A. activity from those at the grassroots to All-Ireland stars and a further thirty-two recipients have been announced this week.
