Tipperary qualified for the Munster u-21 football final with a comfortable win over Clare in the semi-final at Semple Stadium, winning 1-12 to 0-7.
2011 All Ireland winning minor captain Liam McGrath was the star of the show with eight points, six from frees,
Another minor hero from two years ago, Michael Quinlivan, chipped in with a fine goal.
There were ten members of that minor panel in the starting line with manger David Power now in charge of the u-21s as well.
Tipp now meet Cork in the final at Semple Stadium in a fortnight’s time.
Tipperary led 1-8 to 0-4 at the break, Quinlivan’s goal coming in the 28th minute to put daylight between the sides.
