St. Mary’s host the under 12 Blitz this Saturday at 11.00 am.

Training for under 8s and 10s Friday evenings at 5.30pm.

Ladies Football

We had a number of club representatives in action with Tipperary Football teams last weekend.

The Minor girls were beaten by Waterford on a score of 2-4 to 1-9. Hazel Shanahan, Gemma O’Dwyer and Sarah Everard played for Tipperary and Leanne Ryan, who is recovering from injury, is also on the panel.

Tipperary Under 14 were also beaten by Waterford 2-4 to 1-4. Our club representatives were Claire Moore, Orla Burke and Emma Cronin. Kristy Crotty Ryan who is also on the Panel was unable to play on the day.

Tipperary Under 16s play this Wednesday, 27th, against Cork and we wish them well. Our Club representatives on this team are Aoife Power, Rachael Delahunty, Megan Shanahan, Andrea Hyland, Michelle McMeel and Shania Dowling.

The Tipperary Intermediate team recorded a fine win over Down in the National League winning 5-11 to 1-4. Representing Moyle Rovers on this team are Barbara Ryan, Katie Lynn and Niamh Lonergan.

Our Under 14s are busy preparing to defend their Feile title which is due to played Easter Monday. The winners go forward to represent Tipperary at the Feile competition in Derry.

Hurler wins

In the County Intermediate Hurling League. Moyle Rovers defeated Cahir by 1-8 to 1-5. Our goal was scored by Thomas Hill. A highlight of the game was an excellent long range free from young Kevin O’Donnell who opened his shoulder and sent the sliothar sailing over the black spot from all of 80 yards out.

Minor game postponed

The South Minor ‘A’ championship game v Commercials on Saturday last was called off due to bad weather conditions.

Celebrity Chef - Come on Eileen!

Congratulations to Eileen Boland who won the celebrity chef competition last Saturday evening run by the Clonmel Rotary Club. There’s no end to this ladies talents!

Fitting of new training gear:

Fitting of new training gear, for all selectors (juvenile and adult) and all players from minor up to senior, will take place on Friday night next March 29 at 8.30pm. Deposit must be paid on the night.

The club sends condolences to Siobhan Purcell and the extended Hickey family, Westgate, Clonmel, on the death of her aunt Peggie Gaine (nee Hickey).
