Tipperary footballers take on Waterford on Sunday in the quarter final of the McGrath Cup.

John Evans' charges will be keen to keep up their winning ways following a victory in their first competitive outing of the year against UL in a McGrath Cup preliminary round last weekend.

Their reward is a draw against a Waterford side managed by former Tipperary player and Moyle Rovers star John Owens.

It will be an interesting clash against two teams who will be anxious to have a close inspection of one another with a league clash between the two sides in Division Three to be played later in the year.

Tipperary will want to lay down a marker for that vital league clash and w ill hope to carry the good form shown in the second half against UL with them as they try to progress in the McGrath Cup.

The match against Waterford takes place at Walsh Park on Sunday with a 2pm throw in.(Referee - C.Lane, Cork).
