On Thursday last the club launched its first ever yearbook. This publication will prove a lovely keepsake from the year and at a cost of just €10 it is remarkable value and will make a lovely Christmas present for anyone with the slightest interest in the club. The book is on sale from any committee member. You can also order your copy online at www.commercialsgfc.com . Already orders have been steady and with a limited number of copies available early purchasing is advised.

Club 7 aside: The now annual club 7-aside takes place on Saturday, December 29. This is always a really enjoyable day and anyone interested in playing should contact Tommy Morrissey ASAP.

Santa Claus Is Coming: Santa Claus arrives for our club members on Sunday next . All our juvenile members are invited by Santa to come to the Colaiste Céitin at The Mall at 2.30pm and he promises that he will be along soon after this time. Club members with young children who have not yet joined the ranks are invited along also. We ask that as many parents as possible would bring along some buns, cakes or sandwiches which will add to the enjoyment of the afternoon.

Bag Packing: The club’s annual bag packing at Tesco takes place this year from Friday December 21 to Monday 24. We are appealing to all our members and all the parents of our juvenile boys and girls to give an hour or two over the course of the weekend to give a hand out on this vital fundraiser. It is very important that all our members help out in some way in this.

Website supplies all the news: The club website www.commercialsgfc.com has become a regular source of news for club members. A typical week sees 800 to 1000 hits on the site and with regular news updates, fixtures and photographs it has become a great asset to the club. If you haven’t visited recently do so and we are always open to suggestions for improvements to the site.

Club Social: Early notice that the club will hold our social on March 16.

Sympathy: We send our sympathies to the Ruth family on the recent passing of Kieran. Kieran played as a juvenile with the club and his late uncle Sam also played at many levels with the club. May he rest in Peace.
