Our U21 footballers had a fine win in their opening game against Cahir, winning 1.10 to 0.5.

However, high farce ensued a week later when our boys, Mullinahone, and the referee arrived to the venue for the round 2 game only to find the pitch closed for goal repairs. At time of writing, we are fixed to play Killenaule on Saturday 23 however this may change to the Sunday. Keep an eye out on the Facebook page for daily updates.

The seniors had a good run out in a challenge against Rathgormack in NHP on Sunday. We were missing quite a few regulars but the boys did OK in their opening game of 2013.

U6 training for boys and girls continues Mondays from 18.00 to 19.00 in the High School Hall. If you are not currently receiving text updates about training, please text or ring Brian Gentles with your details to 0868373150. U8 & U10 Football continues every Saturday from 11:30 to 1pm, at Ned Hall Park, and also every Wednesday from 18.30 to 19.30

The juvenile girls will be starting back in the field at 12.00 on Saturday. Siobhan & Valerie will be in touch.

And finally, warmest congratulations to Ladies Club Chairman, player, and all round good egg Siobhan Phelan on her engagement to Kieran Ryan of Tipperary. Siobhan and Kieran are an item for quite a while now but it was feared that Kieran might never step up to the plate. He popped the question during their holiday to Austria last week and this correspondent was on hand to witness the very happy scenes. Best of luck to you both!
