The u-12s had a busy week, playing two South Championship matches.
They were victorious against Cahir, but lost out to local rivals Clonmel Og. Both matches were part of the ‘round robin’ stage, so all is still to play for.
They also took on Erin’s Own of Cork in a friendly game, and gave a very good account of themselves. Keep it up, boys!
The U/10s played host to St. Patrick’s last weekend in what proved to be an excellent and tough challenge. These boys have had a very busy summer of hurling and thanks to parents and coaches for all the help.
Our U/9s had busy weekend. They travelled to Roanmore in Waterford City for a ground hurling tournament. It was fantastic to be invited with 126 teams taking part in a well organised event. As usual our boys were split into two teams and acquitted themselves very well against such teams as Midleton, Cushinstown, Barrow Rangers and Abbeyside Dungarvan, to name but a few. Thanks to all the parents and drivers who travelled to watch the games in end of summer sunshine.
The boys played in the same tournament in Roanmore and won all their three matches. Again, thanks to all coaches, parents and supporters who helped with the logistics.
Congratulations to Alan Longeran who won the joint lotto we run with Commercials. It’s great that a player with both clubs should be the first winner of the jackpot of €2400. Well Done Alan, mind it well!
