Secretary Seamus Mullins pays glowing tribute to the eight Sean Gael recipients from the South division honoured recently at The Dome

“This is the eleventh year of the awards and again it was a great success. Eight recipients from the South division were honoured on the night and it was wonderful to see those who have given a lifetime of service to the association specially remembered in this manner.

“The fairness of these awards is that they recognise all kinds of contributions to the GAA and there is no discrimination in favour of any one kind”.

The eight recipient were Miceal O’Meara, Clonmel Commercials; Pete Savage, Ardfinnan; Paddy Doherty, Carrick on Suir Handball; Tommy O’Sullivan, Mullinahone; William Lonergan, Carrick Swan; John English, Ballybacon- Grange; Michael Prendergast, Kilsheelan/Kilcash; and Sean Fitzpatrick, Newcastle.
