Brian Dignam and Mary Hetherington are just back from their honeymoon - but the biggest test of their short married life to date could come on Sunday.

When they sit down to watch the All Ireland hurling final, Brian from Grangemockler will be cheering on his beloved Tipperary while Mary from Graiguenamanagh will be rooting for Kilkenny.

The issue even arose on their wedding day in Duiske Abbey whey they were torn between a specially prepared jersey for the day featuring both the Tipp and Kilkenny colours.

“It’ll be a long day for one of us”, says Brian - who’s hoping it won’t be him as close neighbour Eoin Kelly hopes to bring the cup back to Mullinahone for the second successive year.
