Mullinahone’s Sean Curran proved the match winner for Tipperary in their dramatic win over Cork in the Munster u-21 hurling championship at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Wednesday night.

The only senior panellist on the team hit over the match winning point late in the game to give Tipp the lead for the only time in the game and they hold on for a thrilling win, 0-18 to 0-17.

Tipperary trailed by four points, 0-16 to 0-12, with six minutes left but then moved into top gear to outscore the Rebels by six points to win.

The win earns them a semi-final clash with Limerick on July 18.

Apart from an outstanding display from Curran, Tipp also had big games from captain John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer, David Collins and Liam McGrath.
