The Department of the Inspectorate has issued a report which praises Gaelscoil Thiobraid Árann in Tipperary Town for its high standards of professionalism amongst staff members and positive attitude towards Irish and English reading, shown by the children.

It also highlighted the positive influence of the parents committee, who work in close harmony with the teaching staff and the Board of Management.

Principal of the Gaelscoil, Eoghan Breathnach, remarking on the report, expressed his satisfaction that all elements of the school community were identified in the report.

“We’re delighted the report accurately reflected the current positive atmosphere in the school. All the players in making our school community, between parents, teachers, Board and pupils strive to create a culture in which each child’s attainments are celebrated, be it an academic achievement or in the sports, musical or cultural field.

“It’s most satisfying that the parents, along with their children, were singled out as having a major role in creating this positive learning environment.”

The Gaelscoil will have an Open Evening on Thursday 14th March beginning at 7.00 p.m
