A lucky family from Tickincor in Clonmel won a competition to have Today FM twosome Dermot and Dave present their national radio programme from their home, while their family and friends enjoyed a mouth-watering barbecue.

The competition was organised to celebrate the wide range of sizzling offers from the Tesco summer range. The selection of succulent meat includes hand-trimmed Irish Angus rib eye, striploin and sirloin steaks, flavoured sausages and burgers and mini burgers.

On Friday July 15 the Houlihan family kicked back and soaked up the atmosphere in the comfort of their own home, as a delicious spread was supplied by Tesco.

Tovah and Jamie Houihan said “We were absolutely delighted that we were chosen as we're both huge fans of the show.

We’d like to say a huge thanks to Tesco for a brilliant day and a great spread – we love a good barbecue.

We’ve just refurbished our garden and we couldn’t have asked for a better ‘opening ceremony’ than with Dermot and Dave. We really enjoyed showing the guys around our area and of course, impressing them with Tovah’s fantastic Gollum impression!”

The competition saw three lucky families across the country enjoy a summer barbecue as well as hosting the Dermot and Dave Show- which is broadcast from 12 noon-2.30pm from Monday to Friday on Today FM - from their own homes during July.
