Their next venture will be a collaboration with the County Tipperary N & B Association, NY, to perform in New York City in November 2016.
They will be guests at their 1916 commemoration event. Thirty seven students both present and past along with six staff will travel to New York this coming November 2nd to 7th to commemorate and celebrate 1916 with fellow Tipperary residents of the Big Apple!
A school spokesman said - “We are all aware of the value of international experience for our young people as key stepping stones on their journey to becoming positive and contributing adults. It is with these benefits in mind that we have accepted this prestigious invitation.
“Our task now is to raise the funds to support our young singers on this valuable performance programme. Parents are already covering the overall fee for each singer which as you can imagine is significant and challenging for some.
“We will have a fundraising concert on Friday September 23rd at8 pm in the School hall. Our students will perform hits from the musicals along with the Tipperary Gospel Choir and some of the Strictly come dancers who delighted audiences early this summer.
“Tickets cost €10 and are available from choir members or directly from John Murray in the school. Please support this worthy cause.”
