Niamh Kennedy's selection as Miss Ireland is the second time in four years that the coveted title has come to Tipperary.
Clonmel's Aoife Walsh won the crown in 2013.
And the organiser of the Miss Tipperary event, Esme Mansergh Wallace, has said she is thrilled that the crown has come back to the Premier County again.
"I'm absolutely delighted with Niamh's success as Miss Tipperary Aherlow House Hotel", she said.
"Being there watching her win Miss Ireland was amazing", she remarked.
Esme said that Niamh has worked so hard and she thoroughly deserved it.
" It's great to bring back the crown for the second time in four years and I am really confident as Niamh heads to Washington for Miss World.
"A huge thank you to all this year's sponsors of the event who made the success happen" , said the Tipp town woman who has organised the Miss Tipperary pageant in recents years.
