A planning decision is due later this month on a second Cahir solar farm project.
Tipperary Co. Council gave the planning green light last week to Solar Sense Ltd. to construct 32,000 square metres of solar panels on ground mounted frames on a 13 hectacres site at Loughloher, east of Cahir.
Lightsource Renewable Energy Ireland Ltd. is the company seeking the go ahead to develop the second solar farm near Cahir.
It is proposing to develop it on a site of about 80 acres at Monaraha. The Council is due to decide on October 25 whether to approve or reject the application .
