Two Tipperary men charged with firearms and explosives possession offences

Two Co. Tipperary men appeared before a special district court sitting yesterday afternoon (Sunday) charged in connection with the possession of firearms and explosives. 

The 33 year-old Clonmel man and 50 year-old Cahir man appeared before Cashel District Court and were remanded in custody to appear before another upcoming court sitting. 

They are charged with a number of offences under the 2006 Criminal Justice Act relating  to the possession of firearms and explosives. 

The two men were arrested last Friday, November 10 by Special Detective Unit gardai who searched a house in Cahir.
