New jobs in home care

Home Instead Senior Care, Tipperary’s largest in-home care provider has announced an increase of 140 jobs in 17 locations throughout the country. The organisation already employs 2,000 people and has cared for almost 5,000 people since it set up its first office in Ireland in 2005.

Home Instead Senior Care has 17 independently owned and operated franchise offices throughout the country, with further growth plans anticipated for 2012. Fuelling the demand in this job sector is the growing number of older adults who may be plagued with health problems and need assistance with activities of daily living. According to the Central Statistics Office, the over 75 population will more than triple in Ireland in the next fifteen years.
