Gael Cholaiste enjoys trip to London

Gael Cholaiste Cheitinn’s trip to London was one to remember. Everyone was exhausted but echoes of “the best trip ever” filled the corridors of the Clonmel school. It was a trip that had a packed itinerary that would leave most of us with our heads spinning but not this group. Their enthusiasm and boundless energy meant that they covered the highlights of London in a couple of days.

It was a trip that had a packed itinerary that would leave most of us with our heads spinning but not this group. Their enthusiasm and boundless energy meant that they covered the highlights of London in a couple of days.

Tuesday began with a visit to the Olympic Stadium followed by a sightseeing tour including the Tower of London, Westminster, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. On Tuesday night they saw the hit show Billy Elliott in the Victoria Palace.

Wednesday was a full day at Thorpe Park theme park, the weather was fantastic so water rides were a must for teachers and students alike. Then it was back on the plane and home for school on Thursday. Tired but happy faces recalled the fun. Well done to the staff involved, Mary Murphy, Marie O’Leary, Kieran Murphy and Colm P.Ó Conghaola for making it such a successful trip.
