South Tipperary Sports Partnership held their fifth Sports Festival for older adults in the Clonmel Park Hotel which was facilitated by Margaret O’Keeffe from Go for Life and supported by PAL Eleanor Dolan.

This year the group were introduced to Camann Abu, the GAA’s recreational hurling game for adults. This activity was led by Johnny Cummins and Michael White who brought great life and fun to the session.

Johnny said - “It was amazing to see some people who were apprehensive about the activity at the start getting really involved by the end”. This activity brought out the competitive side of the group and was thoroughly enjoyed.

Eileen Mullins, Carrick on Suir ARA, commented -”I really enjoyed the hurling as I had never used a hurley before and I am going to buy one and practice and I intend joining the gym”.
