The Lattin/Cullen GAA club's own new lotto was launched on Tuesday December 21, 2010 in the club house by Declan Ryan, newly appointed manager of the Tipperary Hurlers.
Sincere thanks to Declan Ryan for traveling to Lattin on the bitterly cold night to launch the new venture.
This new Lotto initiative will be for the exclusive benefit of Lattin/Cullen GAA and the proceeds will be used to defray the costs of the development of the Club's field, stand and dressing rooms.
TheClub is extremely grateful and proud to have been associated with the current Tipperary Community Lotto Scheme and wishthem continued success in their endeavors into the future.
However, in the past ten years extensive work has been carried out to Lattin/Cullen GAA Club and the expenditure came to almost €1.2million. The club's pitch, grounds and facilities cater for girls and boys and for all ages from six to senior.
The club has carried out numerous fund raising initiatives so far to fund the development and out of the €1.2million there is now approximately €210,000 remaining. The club is hoping to clear this in the coming years through their own Lotto.
The success of this venture is dependent on the continued support of the parish, which has always been extremely forthcoming and greatly appreciated. Tickets for the Lotto are €2 each and can be purchased in advance.
The jackpot on the first week is €1500 and will increase each week by €200 if it is not won. There are also four draws every week for €25. The first draw was on January 4, in the Village Tavern Lattin.
The weekly draws will rotate between two venues in Lattin, two venues in Cullen and also in Tipperary Town at Gerry Vaughan's, Noel Ryan's and Nellie O'Brien's.
The club would like to thank everyone whohas given up their spare time to organise this Lotto. With the hard working people in our club, this Lotto should become a huge success.
