Fianna Fail select Michael Anglim to fill late father’s council seat

The son of a former South Tipperary County Council member will replace his father on the authority on Monday.

The son of a former South Tipperary County Council member will replace his father on the authority on Monday.

Michael Anglim was selected at a Fianna Fail convention on Thursday night to fill the seat of his late father, also Michael.

The late Michael Anglim from Ardfinnan died earlier this year.

He was widely regarded as one of the most popular members of the council across the political divide.

His son Michael will now take his seat at Monday’s council meeting in Clonmel.
