Renovations

We are most grateful for the generosity of so many parishioners who have donated €167,437 towards the renovation of the Church, the total cost of which is €875,000. The loan is €500,000 and the balance to pay is €332,563. Last week donations of €5,000, €250, €50, €50, €20 and €10 were received. Marks and Spencer will hold an Upcycle Sale (second hand clothing) to raise funds for the Marie Keating Foundation in The Showgrounds Shopping Centre on Friday, 14th, Saturday, 15th and Sunday, 16th June from 12 noon to 6pm. All items cost €5 or less.

The Waterford Museum of Treasures will hold a conference in Waterford to mark the 650th anniversary of the unification of the Dioceses of Waterford and Lismore from 14th to 16th June. From 2pm to 6 pm, guided tours will be held of the Medieval Museum where the Lismore Crosier and the famous 15th century Cloth-of-Gold Vestments are on display. At 7.15 registration will be held at the City Hall, The Mall, Waterford for the conference.

The Irish Guide Dogs will hold a volunteer recruitment evening on Thursday, June 13th at 7.30pm in the Town Hall. The event will be hosted by Mayor Billy Shoer and will give people information on the Irish Guide Dogs and how you can help. Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome.
