On behalf of Tipperary Relay for Life Committee, I invite everyone to attend Relay 2013 in Toomevara GAA Grounds, on August 24 and 25.
This is a 24 hour community-led event in aid of the Irish Cancer Society’s Services and Research programmes, during which people walk, talk, reflect and have the opportunity to take part in various events and ceremonies.
It will be a fun occasion, 24 hours of celebration, with something for all ages.
It is not only about fundraising, but also about raising awareness in our community of how we can reduce the risk of developing cancer by promoting healthy living.
It is the community coming together in solidarity and sense of common purpose, in the face of an all-too-common threat.
A core dimension of Relay’s comprehensive mission in relation to Cancer is the joyful celebration of the wonder-full gift of life.
