St. Michaels N.S. Clerihan recently held “Active School Week” as part of their application for the “Active School Flag”.

The week was filled with a variety of activities including rounders, martial arts, tag rugby, spike ball, soccer skills, warm up and cool down workshops and many more.

A “Walking School Bus” also ran throughout the week and it was a great success.

The school was very lucky to have some fantastic speakers during the week including Willie Barrett (referee), Seamus Anderson (Clonmel Rowing Club), and Tipperary hurler Pádraic Maher. A great week was had by all!

Padraic Maher proved a huge hit with all the children as he signed autographs and passed on hurling skills.
