Carrick man appointed to energy authority

Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Alex White, has appointed a Carrick-on-Suir man to the board of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).

Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Alex White, has appointed a Carrick-on-Suir man to the board of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).

He is Paddy Phelan, Ballinurra, Carrick-on-Suir, a past pupil of Newtown NS, CBS Carrick on Suir, Colaiste na Rinne and Rockwell College from 1990-2000. He attended UCD Civil Engineering from 1996-2000.

Mr Phelan said - “I personally am delighted and honoured with this appointment which is recognition at national level of the hard work undertaken throughout my career to date and more recently in my role as manager of the Carlow Kilkenny Energy Agency and the great team with whom I work daily.”

Mr Phelan is married to Mairead and they lived in Cuffesgrange with their three children.
