Concern in Cashel about ambulance service

Cllr Martin Browne has called for the Ambulance Service to give assurances that in the coming restructuring of services Cashel will not lose one of the two vehicles based in the town.

Cllr Martin Browne has called for the Ambulance Service to give assurances that in the coming restructuring of services Cashel will not lose one of the two vehicles based in the town.

Cllr Browne is raising this now before any decision is made, and is calling on locals to put pressure on South Tipperary TDs and senators to retain both ambulances. The Sinn Fein councillor has slammed this as another example of stripping Cashel of vital services. He accepts that while restructuring might need to be done in the region, he argues Cashel as one of the most central towns in the county, on the National Motorway network, and it makes sense to retain full services in the town.
