A councillor has expressed “repulsion” at the service the County Council are receiving from an electricity provider.

Cllr Denis Leahy urged the county council, at a recent meeting, to write to Airtricity “expressing repulsion with the service” because of a delay of six to seven weeks in repairing broken public lights in Tipperary.

However Senior Engineer Peter Britton said that the council have received a better service from Airtricity than they had in the past. “We are impressed with them.” He said there might be another issue like damaged cables or ducts that are outside their control.
