Submit your photos for Bianconi exhibition

To celebrate the 225th anniversary of the birth of Charles Bianconi, Clonmel Library invites people to submit a photograph to capture the huge contribution Bianconi made to the first-ever integrated public transport system in Ireland in the first half of the 19th century. This includes photos of the stage posts/depots all over Ireland associated with Bianconi, his birthplace in Tregolo in Costa Masnaga, Italy, his home in Clonmel and his final resting place in Boherlahan.

To celebrate the 225th anniversary of the birth of Charles Bianconi, Clonmel Library invites people to submit a photograph to capture the huge contribution Bianconi made to the first-ever integrated public transport system in Ireland in the first half of the 19th century. This includes photos of the stage posts/depots all over Ireland associated with Bianconi, his birthplace in Tregolo in Costa Masnaga, Italy, his home in Clonmel and his final resting place in Boherlahan.

All the photographs submitted will form the basis of a touring exhibition that will be on display in branch libraries around Tipperary and in Tregolo.

By submitting a photo the entrant gives permission to Clonmel Library to use the image in an exhibition or on a relevant website. All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. You must include your name, address and contact details and a brief outline of the picture, such as the location and date taken.

The last date for receipt of entries is Monday, November 14th. Photos may be submitted electronically in a format that will give a high-resolution end product to clonmel@tipperarylibraries.ie or alternatively you can submit your pictures in hard copy or on a disc to Clonmel Library, Mick Delahunty Square, Clonmel.
