As we start the New Year the thoughts and prayers of the whole community are with the Cronin family at this difficult time following the sad death of Gerry Cronin, Old Bridge.
Sincere sympathy is also extended to the family of May Young, late of St. Kevin’s Terrace and Birmingham, who died recently.
Many thanks are extended on behalf of the community to Sean Prendergast and his helpers who took down the Christmas decorations and packed them away for another year.
If anyone has items for these notes - news, birthdays, etc.- they can give them to Mieke, 5 Cascade Park, tel. 61-27930 or text to 086-8272036.

Order of Malta collection
It has been a busy year for the local unit of the Order of Malta, with an increase in members and events covered in the locality.
It’s hoped to build on this progress into this year. All members are reminded that meetings return this Wednesday, 11th January at 7.30pm.
One of the unit’s goals for this year is to fundraise to update its 1998 ambulance. Part of this fund-raising drive is a clothes collection in St. Mary’s Church car-park on Friday, January 20th from 2pm- 5pm and Saturday, January 21st from 12 noon-4pm.
All donations of clothes and pairs of shoes in good condition will be greatly appreciated. It is a way to clear out for the New Year while helping a great cause.
A whist drive will be held at the Sisters of Charity School Hall, Mary Street, Clonmel at 7.45pm on this Friday, January 13th.
Flag day for Diocesan
The annual flag day collection for the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will be held in Clonmel on Friday, January 20th.
