‘Pop up’ cafe

In pursuance of the Aistear philosophy of learning through experience the children of Cahir Park Pre-school decided to set up their own little ‘pop up’ restaurant recently and they called it The Clubhouse Restaurant.

In pursuance of the Aistear philosophy of learning through experience the children of Cahir Park Pre-school decided to set up their own little ‘pop up’ restaurant recently and they called it The Clubhouse Restaurant.

Karen Donavan from the Lazy Bean Café came to visit the children and talk to them about how to run a restaurant. She told the children about all the different people who work in a restaurant, showed them how to take an order and how to serve customers. Karen brought lovely refreshments with her for the children and they all had an opportunity to taste everything.

She brought delicious hot chocolate and the children loved putting chocolate sauce and marshmallows on their drinks. The children were delighted with her visit and in the future perhaps some of them will open their own restaurant.

We would like to thank Karen for all the effort she put in to her visit.

In the future we may see some of these children on Junior Dragons Den, with great ideas for business !
