The Cahir Tidy Towns Group continues to meet on Wednesday evenings while the weather remains fine. We can still do bits in preparation for 2014.
Last weekend we cleared the beds on the Tipp Road and cleaned and removed debris and weeds from the Tipp Road roundabout. We are making steady progress in Cahir Abbey. This project is due for completion in May after two hard years of work. We have asked the council for assistance in tar and chipping the road down to the Abbey for an official opening next year.
We have had talks with the Council to upgrade the public toilets in Cahir and also about a modern bring bank facility. This is currently been considered by the officials with a view to works in 2014. Our thanks are extended to Majella Morrissey and the Council for the placing of a lovely seat at the Memorial Garden. Thanks also the Kieran Burke for a neat job.
