Gardai have appealed to retailers in Clonmel to be vigilant of shop lifters after hundreds of euros worth of goods were stolen from two prominent stores in the town last week.
A total of €635 worth of goods, including razors and computer games, were stolen from Dunnes Stores on the Davis Road around 4.30pm on Sunday.
Investigating Gardai believe the theft was carried out by two males and are following a definite line of enquiry into the crime.
Meanwhile, a young woman from Limerick was arrested by gardai in connection with the theft of about €300 worth of clothes from the New Look store on O’Connell St., Clonmel around midday last Thursday, April 24.
The clothing stolen from the store was recovered and gardai are preparing a file on the case for the DPP.
