A priest from Carrickbeg/Windgap Parish has published his third book, which is now available in local bookshops.
“The Hand of God†by 87 year-old Fr Bernard Hahesy, a native of Scartlea, Kilsheelan, is on sale at Clery’s Newsagents, Main St., Carrick-on-Suir and Easons at Gladstone St., Clonmel.
In the book, Fr Hahesy outlines his forthright views on the Catholic Church and its teachings and a wide range of social issues.
Journalist and author John Waters has written a foreword tribute to Fr Hahesy’s book that is printed on its back cover.
He describes “The Hand of God†as a “refreshing book†featuring “rich homilies replete with vivid stories and observationsâ€.
Mr Waters says Fr Hahesy’s writings “contain powerful and convincing indictments of the contemporary ageâ€.
Fr Hahesy, who was home recently visiting relatives living near Rathgormack and Kilmacthomas, has served as a priest in England for 62 years and lives in Plymouth where he is parish priest of St Edward’s Parish.
His other books are “In Defence of Catholic Teaching†and “Changes In The Church Since Vatican 11â€.
