Kerry senior footballler Colm “The Gooch” Cooper visited Carrick-on-Suir’s Scoil Mhuire Secondary School last week to share some of his playing tips with the school’s junior football team.

Kerry senior footballler Colm “The Gooch” Cooper visited Carrick-on-Suir’s Scoil Mhuire Secondary School last week to share some of his playing tips with the school’s junior football team.

He led a training session for the team during his visit to the school on Monday, January 26.

The Scoil Mhuire junior squad are far from novices on the football pitch. The team won the All-Ireland Junior C Post Primary Schools Championship in April, 2014. They team GAllen Community School from Ferbane in Offaly in the final.

The all-star footballer took time to talk to the players and have his picture taken with the team, whom he congratulated on winning an All-Ireland title.
